3 More days til’ MAGIC in Vegas

So in 3 days, I leave for the MAGIC show in Las Vegas which is the premier fashion industry trade event. I will be traveling with my assistant buyer to source new brands for my company, Fashionbliss.com  and buy for the upcoming frenetic shopping season, the Holidays. All my friends outside the industry find it to be a glamorous event and comment… "Wow you are so lucky, you are going shopping in Vegas". When the actuality is long days filled with miles of walking, thousands of vendors to sift through, hundred degree Vegas weather, and a smorgasbord of retail math calculating in the brain. The saving grace is Vegas = Gastronomic Paradise.

So along with mapping out my MAGIC itinerary, I’ve eagerly been planning my dining schedule which includes my usual spots, Joel Robuchon’s L’ATELIER for the succulent Scallop cooked with seaweed butter and curried cauliflower, Michael Mina’s Nob Hill and Sea Blue for my favorite Lobster pot pie and Lobster corn dogs, Daniel Boulud at the Wynn for the Roasted loup de mer with artichokes, and Thomas Keller’s Bouchon for the mouth watering Warm bread pudding french toast with apples, brioche, and custard topped with maple syrup. Yum! I am drooling just thinking about it. There will also be a visit to the Wynn Buffet for lunch. There is something very aesthetically pleasing about this buffet. It is definitely unlike any other. So wow, I guess my friends are right, I am a lucky girl! Vegas…Here I come…
