Mika’s Dinner at Hell’s Kitchen

HELL’S KITCHEN Season 3 Episode 7

Here’s something funny for for you all on this Labor Day weekend. A friend of mine spotted this on YouTube the other day so I thought I would share it. It is from Season 3 of the popular FOX show Hell’s Kitchen. In this clip from season 3, I am a guest diner at “Hell’s Kitchen” and obviously not too thrilled with my experience. For a great 9 minute Hells Kitchen escape, I recommend you watch it merely for the entertainment value. After editing, I just have a one liner towards the 6 minute range where I kindly say “ I am still waiting for my entree. I say kindly because it was like an hour since my dining companion was served his, and on top of getting my entree over an hour later, I never even got my desert! And let me tell you, my entree was not worth the wait. The turbot was disgusting! Only until I watched the show on TV, did I find out it was their left over creation episode which only partially explains why I was served tasteless rubber passed on as fish.

For those unfamiliar with Hell’s Kitchen, it is a drama filled cooking reality show with famed Michelin Star chef Gordon Ramsay at the helm. Gordon Ramsay is a renowned U.K. chef that has acclaimed restaurants all over the world including Gordon Ramsay at the Conrad Tokyo, The London Bar in New York, Verre in Dubai, Gordon Ramsay at the Powerscourt at the Ritz Carlton Powerscourt, Ireland, and the recently opened Gordon Ramsay at the London in West Hollywood.

Not only is the food at Chef Ramsay’s restaurants superb, but the decor is very chic and modern as well. And I am smart enough to know that Hell’s Kitchen is a “reality” show. When I say reality, that means not so reality which means the food and experience at Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen” has no comparison to his actual REAL established restaurants which he has become quite known and respected for. People go to Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurants for the highly rated food and ambiance while people go to Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen for the intensity and the drama. So for some name calling drama, tune in to Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen. For some boldly spoken flavored meals, go to one of Ramsay’s Restaurants in the U.S. or abroad.

I went to one of Ramsay’s places in London for my wife’s birthday and it was nothing like hell’s kitchen. It was high end and a nice evening.

Gordon Ramsay is the greatest. I have all his cookbooks and have dined at several of his restaurants. This clip you shared was so intense but funny.
