After hearing all the hype, I was greatly anticipating a visit to The Spotted Pig in the West Village. Tops on the must-eat list was the much raved about Sheep’s Ricotta Gnudi with Brown Butter and Sage, but unfortunately the Sunday post-brunch menu was limited. I knew I should have possibly waited a few more hours to hit up the restaurant for dinner rather than an afternoon brunch with friends, but with limited time, and my evenings booked, here I was at a late Sunday brunch at  New York’s Spotted Pig. We ordered chef April Bloomfield’s infamous Chargrilled Burger with Roquefort Cheese and Shoestring Fries – definitely my favorite item we ate during our meal. We also sampled a few gastropub bar snacks including the Chicken Liver Toast and Deviled Eggs followed by several other plates.

    Thanks MyLastBite! Some of my dining companions didn’t like that they were unpeeled, but yes, they were very radiant and were served piping hot straight out of the kitchen. Really wanted the Gnudi but didn’t have it on the brunch menu.

    Hi Marc! I’m glad I finally checked it out, but do need to go back for dinner for a different experience. There are so many great restaurants in NY I would go to before, so totally understand your “long list” dilemna 🙂

    I was at Spotted Pig Restaurant and was told I had a table a 5:30. Then the hostess told everyone the health inspector just arrived and the kitchen would not open till they were finished. We left at 7:15 – Health Inspector Still there.
