This is one food truck that you don't want to miss out on. Beginning today, March 23rd and continuing every Tuesday through Fall, “Cart For A Cause” will travel across the Los Angeles area selling meals for $10 created by some of Los Angeles' most highly regarded chefs. Ten dollars includes lunch and a drink, and all proceeds go to benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. Confirmed chefs include: Alex Becker (Nobu West Hollywood), Susan Feniger (STREET), David Myers and Dong Choi (Comme Ça), Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook (Animal), Josef Centeno (Lazy Ox Canteen), Eric Greenspan (The Foundry), John Cuevas (Montage Beverly Hills) and Sal Marino (Il Grano).
“St. Vincent Meals on Wheels is so grateful to have some of the hottest L.A. chefs make great meals for the public” said Daryl Twerdahl, Executive Director of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Foundation. “Because they give us their priceless gift of time and compassion, we can feed more of our neighbors in need. Thanks to them, the proceeds from each Cart for a Cause lunch will provide one homebound L.A. senior with a hot, home-delivered meal.”
