Happy Bastille Day 2010

Bastille day san francisco

Bastille Day, aka La Fête Nationale to the French, is a national holiday celebrated every year on July 14th. This day marks "the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison which was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation, and of the reconciliation of all the French inside the constitutional monarchy which preceded the First Republic during the French Revolution."

The French know how to live life to the fullest and this day is no exception. Celebrations are held throughout France and around the world in celebration of this historic French Independence day.

If you are in San Francisco, there are several "no cover" events going on including the Taverna Aventine Block party (above) or the party at RN74 with $1 oysters, $1 French pastries and Julius Papp on the turntables.

RSVP is requested for the RN74 party by emailing rsvp@tableonethree.com
