SF Chefs week in San Francisco meant back to back culinary and liquor focused shindigs and soirees in and around the City by the Bay. Following the Fork It Over Foodraiser in the Grand Tasting Tents, Chef Tyler Florence hosted a sold-out Bohemian Bash after party at his recently launched Wayfare Tavern in the financial district's former Rubicon space.
The narrow, multi level restaurant with dark woods and dim lighting evoked a historic San Francisco feel. The details were well thought out, including a mesmerizing black and white film of old San Francisco which constantly replayed on the upstairs back wall.

Wayfare Tavern's Burgers, Organic Fried Chicken, Deviled Eggs, and Mac and Cheese couldn't come out fast enough as hungry guests rushed the platters of Tyler's comfort food as soon as they were dropped down by the servers. Thankfully, party-goers were generous and jovial as they shared bites with one another. The wine and cocktails most likely played a part in that, since after all, when's the last time you remember someone sharing that last piece of crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside Fried Chicken with you. The Wayfare burgers on the other hand, were a higher commodity. If you didn't get to them in 5 seconds flat, you were out of burger luck.
In addition to host Tyler Florence, who was both working the restaurant duties and working the room, chefs and industry folks in attendance included David Burke, Dominique Crenn, Robbie Lewis, Ryan Scott, Elizabeth Falkner, Marcia Gagliardi (tablehopper) and many others.
