Food For Thought 2010 – Dine out to support Mission Graduates

FFT_2010_logo

Food for Thought is an annual “dine-out” event that raises funds to benefit Mission Graduates, a nonprofit organization that increases the number of youth from San Francisco’s Mission District who are prepared for and complete a college education.

Food for Thought’s participating restaurants, food trucks, ice cream shops and markets commit to contributing 25% or more of their sales on November 10 to help pave the pathway to college for young people who live in their community. Fabulous raffle prizes will also be offered at participating restaurants for diners.

Mission Graduates programs include “The Tutoring Center” for kids ages 5-11, social/educational initiatives to help combat teen pregnancy, the multi-year “College Connect” program that guides first generation college-bound high school students through every step of the application process and beyond, and “Outdoor Challenge,” where participants learn vital leadership and outdoor living skills on trips outside of the city (many for the first time).

Dine out at these participating restaurants on Wednesday, November 10th and 25-100% of your total bill will be donated to benefit Mission Graduates. Make your reservation today!!

Thanks Mika for the scoop on this! I have been wanting to try many of these Mission restaurants and now this is the perfect reason. Hope to even hit two in one night.

You are so very welcome Robert! Glad I was able to give you the 411 on this excellent dine out for a cause in the Mission. The list of participating restaurants is impressive and has grown from last year. Hopefully next year, we will see more and more participating to support Mission Graduates. Cheers!
