There are very few dishes that command an “ooh…ahh…” from everyone at a 10-seat table. Well, that’s exactly what the baked cod at R & G lounge did on a recent evening in San Francisco’s Chinatown. What first struck me was the generous portion, with the caramelized exterior which somewhat resembled the hue and shape of a ham. Incredibly buttery, this melt-in-your mouth fish goes absolutely perfect with a bowl of steamed rice and fresh bok choy.
R & G is a favorite among local chefs and one visit later, you will see why.
