Today the 2009 Michelin Guide Star recipients for New York City were announced. 42 restaurants received the prestigious Michelin Star honor including four restaurants receiving 3 stars, seven restaurants receiving 2 stars, and thirty one restaurants receiving 1 star. In addition to featuring the forty two Michelin star restaurants, the new Michelin Guide features a total of 563 restaurants and 54 Manhattan Hotels in the guide.
New to the Michelin 1 Star category are Allen & Delancey, Alto, eighty one, Fiamma, Insieme, Kyo Ya and Public. Adour, Gilt and Momofuku Ko join the Michelin 2 Star category, while Masa now joins the ranks of the coveted Michelin 3-Star
