The annual Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival begins today in Miami and runs through Sunday. This event packed gathering is a favorite among culinary insiders, wine aficionados, and food lovers alike. Now in it's 9th year, this four day extravaganza started by Lee Brian Schrager, originally began as a 1 day event back in 2002 and now attracts over 50,000 guests. This star studded event is presented by Food and Wine and is hosted by Southern Wine and Spirits and Florida International University (FIU). A portion of the proceeds of the festival goes to benefit FIU’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
From Daniel Boulud to Anthony Bourdain to Marcus Samuelsson and Michelle Bernstein, you will be sure to find your favorite chefs and food personalites in South Beach this weekend. The wine and liquor luminaries will also be out in full force including Gary Vaynerchuk , Richard Betts, Tony Abou-Ganim, and Kevin Zraly.
