I think this scorching Summer weather has me addicted to fish tacos lately. This past weekend was no exception, when my friend Kara visited and I shared my favorite L.A. gem, Ricky's Fish Tacos with her. She was an instant fan. The following day, after brunch at Hollywood hot spot Cecconi's and some retail therapy, we of course were famished so this time it was Kara's turn to bring me to her favorite crave spot, Wahoo's Fish Tacos.
With locations in California, Texas, Colorado and Hawaii, Wahoo's is a surfer feel type spot with stickers plastered all over the wall and a casual vibe. Although mainly Mexican, the menu infuses Brazilian and Asian flavors and items. I ordered the two spicy blackened fish taco combo platter with brown rice and white beans (above) and all I could say is wahooooo...I will be going back for some more.
