wine and dine LA 2008

For all you L.A. foodies, get ready for wine & dine LA, which runs from September 7-21, 2008. Many of our favorite SoCal chefs will be working their culinary magic with special prix-fix dinners paired with California wines. This is in honor of California Wine Month. And boy, will I be celebrating the grapes all month long!  Opentable.com and American Express are two of the sponsors for this year's wine & dine LA with participating restaurants including Nobu, on La Cienega which will serve a 7 course meal for $135 with wine or $100 without. Suzanne Goin's AOC will offer a 4 course meal including wines for $100 which includes a second course of grilled albacore, eggplant and green harissa clams with garlic and amontillado sherry paired with a glass of 2005 Campion Pinot Noir from the Central Coast. There are over forty participating restaurants at what I call Another Reason to Go Wine and Dine event in Los Angeles. Also a fabulous time to go and try out a new restaurant you have been wanting to visit since I'm sure one of those will definitely be on the list. Other favorites include Spago, Katsuya, Grace, and Valentino.
