Luce Brunello Wine Event with Frescobaldis

Thursday was quite the night in beautiful San Francisco. With near perfect weather and Fernando Frescobaldi and daughter Livia in town from Tuscany, the city by the bay was the ideal backdrop for the U.S. launch of Luce’s Brunello di Montalcino wine.

Luce Restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel hosted the event and Luce’s executive chef, Dominique Crenn and staff worked meticulously in the kitchen preparing the flawless fare to accompany Luce della Vite’s various wine samplings. Along with the Brunello di Montalcino launch, the vintages included Luce’s 1993, 1998, 2000, and 2003 Toscana. Luce wine is a collaboration of the Mondavi and Frescobaldi families and “Luce was the first wine ever produced in Montalcino blending Sangiovese and Merlot grapes.” Luce wines have received accolades from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast and Wine Advocate.

    Mika,

I ran into Dominique randomly on the street last night and chatted a bit! I hope you’re having a great trip in SF.

I think I finally understand what your life is like as I’ve been getting all these opportunities to contribute to projects and speak on shows lately. Life’s been crazy and if I don’t see you this time around then hopefully in the near future.

    :)Kara
