The Bazaar by Jose Andres’ Receives 4 Stars

The Bazaar by Jose Andres received a 4 star review from the L.A. times yesterday. Whether you agree with it or not, the video above is a definite must see. Chef Andres is a culinary sorcerer of sorts and creates food that is magical molecular gastronomy. Check out the video above, read the entire four star review at LATimes.com, and feel free to share your thoughts…

I am not one to voice my opinion often, but I must wonder how S. Irene Virbila stays employed as a food critic. Virbila is almost always dead wrong with every review and giving the Bazaar 4 stars – Come on.

The video demonstrates a lot of glitz and glam (appropriate for Tinsel Town), however the taste of the food and the service at Bazaar is worthy of 2 stars at best.

Los Angeles (my favorite city) is starting to attract some world class chefs but still has a ways to go before it is on par with top culinary cities.

The LA Times should do its part in advancing LA’s culinary development by hiring a food critic that actually knows something about food and dining.

4 stars? No way! I do like Bazaar but 4 stars is a shocker.

I’ve never been to this restaurant but the video is cool indeed.

A friend suggested this place to me when i visited los angeles. My boyfriend and I stayed at the SLS Hotel and dined at Roja. We did have a pleasant experience, but the service was in no way a four star experience. I would say 2 star max. I live in New York and it seems that every city has it’s own dining standards.

I love Bazaar. You have to admit, LA has nothing like it and the food is very, very good…
