Bertolli’s Into the Heart of Italy Sneak Peak


Here’s a sneak peak into the new web series “Into the Heart of Italy” with chef Rocco DiSpirito, and actors Marisa Tomei and Dan Cortese. I’ve traveled and tasted extensively around Italy, and the best way to truly experience Italy and it’s rich culture and cuisine is to live it in person, but for those who can’t do that, this series may be a great introduction.

For tonight’s Bertolli Taste & Tweet, we at Food Fashionista are going to try the Garlic Shrimp, Penne, and Cherry Tomato pasta paired with a nice bottle of Franco Todini Pinot Grigio from Umbria which we recently discovered while traveling in Italy. I will soon be sharing all my details of my truly incredible Italy trip with you in the very near future.

For all you tweeters, Bertolli will be hosting a Taste & Tweet on Twitter which will include a VIP giveaway to win one of three local cheese making classes up to a $150 value!     I must admit that I usually prefer homemade pasta and sauces or whole wheat pastas from Barilla or Trader Joes and rarely eat frozen food, so it was the first time I tried a Bertolli meal. As mentioned above I tried the garlic penne shrimp w/cherry tomatoes and paired it with a nice Pinot Grigio.
